I love critiquing this kind of work, where colours are pulled like taffy and then braided into a logical work of art. The colours blend so nicely in the turbulence that is swirling around this work of art. There are so many different elements to look at when it comes to this work of art. The way the artist almost has the colours dropping off an edge to be twisted and turned into something more beautiful than just another spiral. Until I saw this piece it never occurred to me how many different ways there was to show off spirals. One looks almost like a French braid while another reminds me of candy being made. The thing is you cannot have a piece like this and not have a surprise which I take to be the top spiral, the one that resembles a serpent. Now the only reason I think it is a serpent is because it is the only work on this page to have scales. I really wish that when you can download or enlarge a piece to do so, because you see so much more detail and your imagination can run wild. The artist chose some really good colours to work with none of them dominate or take over the piece. The textures help bring out depth and the light reflection shows all the work. The work almost reminds me how one would blend colours on the right side and on the left side is the finished product.
